Job Title: Construction Project Coordinator & Estimator
Location: Remote (collaborating across US and China timezones)
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday)
Salary: $1000 USD per month

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Construction Project Coordinator & Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Planswift, possess strong construction management and material sourcing skills (particularly from China), and be adept at communicating with vendors. This role requires working across US and China daytime hours and involves a variety of tasks from estimation and bidding to tracking deliveries and equipment. While not strictly an engineering role, an engineering background is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating:
Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimations using Planswift software.
Assist in preparing and submitting bids and proposals.

Sourcing & Procurement:
Source construction materials, with a significant focus on vendors in China.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
Coordinate and track material deliveries to ensure timely arrival.

Project Coordination & Support:
Assist the construction management team with various project-related tasks.
Monitor project progress and track equipment.
Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and potentially clients via various channels, including WhatsApp groups.
Maintain organized records of estimates, sourcing activities, and vendor communications.

Vendor Management:
Act as a primary point of contact for vendors.
Discuss material specifications and requirements with vendors.
Resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or material quality.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in construction management.
Demonstrable proficiency and hands-on experience with Planswift estimating software.
Strong experience in sourcing construction materials, including direct sourcing from China.
Excellent understanding of construction materials (e.g., steel) and their applications.
Experience in discussing technical requirements and negotiating with vendors.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using communication tools like WhatsApp and email.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Flexible to work in a mixed timezone environment covering US and China daytime hours.

Preferred Qualifications (optional):

An engineering background or relevant technical qualifications.
Previous experience working with international teams.
