1. Collaborate with design managers, project managers, and partners to understand project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
2. Maintain up-to-date records in the firm?s database.
3. Engage in video calls (with camera turned on) and web meetings with design managers, contractors, and team members.
4. Use online project management tools to track progress, tasks, and timelines.
5. Share and review large design files, technical drawings, and other documents using cloud storage and sharing platforms.
6. Receive feedback on designs and make necessary revisions.
7. Demonstrate high levels of discipline, time-management, and self-motivation to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Formulate design concepts that align with the client's vision, the functional intent of the building, and environmental considerations.
9. Prepare project documentation, integrating sketches, scale drawings, and incorporating structural, mechanical, and aesthetic elements into the final design.
10. Draft detailed project specifications to guide construction and procurement processes.
11. Manage the project from its initial concept through to its completion, ensuring the design remains innovative and maintains high quality.
12. Produce detailed technical drawings using tools such as Revit and make necessary adjustments as the project progresses.
13. Ensure all design and construction activities comply with relevant standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
14. Update documentation as required and notify the design team of any revisions.
15. Attend all required design meetings, workshops, presentations, and other necessary engagements.
16. Review and respond to applicable RFIs in a timely manner.
17. Satisfy statutory safe design obligations and participate in the safety in design risk management process.
18. Liaise with authorities, suppliers, contractors, and others as required to fulfill the scope of works.
19. Ensure all design team members have inspected the site and made the necessary provisions to carry out the design & reporting tasks.
